 BOILER AND AUX. COMMISSIONING

It is the end of the erection process and the beginning of the operation. It consists of 14 days of nonstop operation and 72 hours of full-load operation.

INTRODUCTION TO COMMISSIONING

Before taking over a plant, commissioning activities are performed.

•Purpose –To ensure that the plant is delivered in accordance with the design –Quality of erection and commissioning –Plant operates reliably, safely, and according to the design –Determining the cause of any failure to meet the design performance.

–Policies and priorities are set by the steering committee. Assures that sufficient resources are available. Documents must be approved. – G.M. is in charge.

–Commissioning panel – Oversight and tracking of day-to-day operations. Collaboration between the test teams and the working groups. Working groups in the Erection and O&M department look after the needs of the Test team.

–Testing and Commissioning Team – Responsible for testing and commissioning.
